Cristobal

Cristobal is a Chilean Australian, Sydney-Based director, writer and editor. Growing up across different suburbs and communities in Chile and Australia has guided him towards telling cultural and diverse stories. His extensive work as an editor includes documentary, narrative and commercial work for organisations such as CuriousWorks, Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Opera House, and Arts and Cultural Exchange (ACE).

With a passion for film, Cristobal’s continuing to grow his skillset into narrative as a director. Cristobal’s short film THE POOL, alongside co-director and producer Erica Long, premiered at the SHORT SHORTS Film Festival & Asia 2023 in Japan. In 2024, Cristobal participated in the Creators Lab, while mentored by Pedro Costa in Mexico, hosted by PLAYLABS FILM, developing two short films. In 2025, Cristobal had completed his last short film Waves with support from CuriousWorks in collaboration with the Curiously West Film Club based in Sydney.
