why the name?

Our name comes from the Golden Age polymath Ibn al-Hathym, better known as "Al-Hazen" or the father of optics.

Al-Hazen pioneered the scientific method, developed the camera obscura and contributed greatly to our understanding of sight.

Our name and visual identity is an homage to this great innovator, and we strive to embody his dedication to rigorous observation and replicable results.
